TULSA, Okla. (Nov. 11, 2025) -- With more than 20 million albums sold and a legacy that's synonymous with explosive Southern rock anthems, 38 Special makes its return to Hard Rock Live inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa on Thursday, Feb. 26, at 8 p.m.

For five decades, 38 Special has been known for powerful guitar riffs and unforgettable live shows. With a catalog of hits, including “Hold On Loosely,” “Caught Up in You,” “If I’d Been the One,” “Back Where You Belong” and “Second Chance,” the band remains one of America’s most enduring rock acts.

Formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1974, 38 Special quickly gained recognition for its distinctive sound, a blend of hard-driving rock energy and melodic hooks that dominated FM radio throughout the late 1970s and 1980s. Co-founder Don Barnes continues to lead the charge, keeping the band’s legacy alive with longtime members Jerry Riggs (lead guitar), Gary Moffatt (drums), Bobby Capps (keyboards) and Barry Dunaway (bass).

As the band celebrates 50 years together, they’re not slowing down. Their new album, “Milestone,” marks 38 Special’s first studio release in more than two decades. The project captures the band’s timeless sound while introducing fresh energy for a new generation of fans.

38 Special’s commitment to the music and its fans remains as strong as ever. Known for its high-energy concerts that bring audiences to their feet, the band continues to perform more than 100 shows a year, celebrating 50 years of music — proving that great rock ‘n’ roll never fades.

Tickets start at $39.50 and go on sale Nov. 14.
