Classic rockers to again play The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa
TULSA, Okla. – One year after playing to a capacity crowd at The Joint, Chicago is returning May 24 to the venue inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.
Tickets start at $55 and go on sale April 10.
Chicago’s record sales top the 100 million mark and include 21 Top 10 singles, five consecutive No. 1 albums, 11 No. 1 singles and five gold singles. An incredible 25 of their 34 albums have been certified platinum, and the band has a total of 47 gold and platinum awards. Chicago is the first American rock band to chart Top 40 albums in six decades.
Among the band’s many hit singles are “25 or 6 to 4,” “Saturday in the Park,” “Call on Me,” “Hard to Say I’m Sorry,” “Will You Still Love Me?” and “Look Away.” The band earned the 1976 Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group for the hit single “If You Leave Me Now.”
In Billboard Magazine’s list of Top 100 artists of all time, Chicago ranked 13, making them the highest charting American band.
Chicago have toured every year since the beginning – they’ve never missed a year.
The line-up includes original band members Robert Lamm on keyboards and vocals, Lee Loughnane on trumpet, James Pankow on trombone, and Walt Parazaider on woodwinds, as well as Jason Scheff on bass and vocals, Tris Imboden on drums, Keith Howland on guitar, Lou Pardini on keyboards and vocals, and Wally Reyes on percussion.
In late 2013, Chicago began releasing singles for a forthcoming album, which will be their first since 2011. The singles can be purchased through the band’s website and on iTunes.
Earlier this year, Chicago’s debut album, “The Chicago Transit Authority” was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
